59th street and 2nd Ave- Crescent City?

Is this oddly shaped garden facing mecca? Just might be. Since the Brigade happened to noticed one individual in mid-town... prayer rug on the sidewalk...facing North ...just like this little garden plot seems to be....

Any thoughts on this one. Anyone?

Also, found this info:Why would a mosque in New York City face toward the northeast when "everyone knows" that Mecca is south and east of New York?

Apparently...it's in New York City it's North...so this crescent 'garden"...Is just a co-incidence?

Shortest distance is the way most people calculate direction. That is the reason flights to and from Europe fly so far north over Canada and almost as far as Iceland, and why nonstop flights to Japan fly into the arctic.

If I remember my geography correctly, the shortest distance to Mecca would involve a route North northeast over the arctic.

Since Manhattan Avenues follow the longest distance, running the length of the island, they run from southwest to northeast.

Therefore it is plausible that crescent is oriented in the direction of Mecca.

Now, who designed it?

The ONLY HOPE FOR AMERICA IS A GREAT AWAKENING UNTO ALMIGHTY GOD. WE NEED TO GET BACK TO GOD AS A NATION. NOT, allah, not buddah, not krishna, GOD.. THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISSAC AND JACOB.

If we do not humble ourselves as a nation who has offened Almighty God expect GREAT SUFFERING the next 2 years. Perhaps when things get SO BAD in 2012 WE THE PEOPLE will humble ourselves as a Judeo/Christian nation and RETURN TO THE LORD.

Good shot, Squirrel! The radiating star scribed into the concrete below the crescent garden is not as vivid as the flowerbed itself, but its there, and looks like a "welcome to the jihad" message for the Mohammedens coming over the 59th Street bridge.

Walking north on the eastern/far side of second avenue, a flag on the floor above the Moonstruck Diner on 2nd at the corner of 58th on the other (west) side of the avenue, the crescent is again visible - on a purple flag.

The ethno-cleansing of mature white Catholic and Jewish women from Roosevelt Island is intense and vicious, and the Islamic presence increases daily.
