Had my tickets. My room. My press pass and then: plantar fasciitisSTRUCK. What terrible timing, oh churl. You brought excruciating pain and made the trip impossible. (*sigh*)
Which
made me ever so thankful for the live feed from CPAC. For me, long
distance, the high point was President Trump's speech to a packed house.
This made up for his cancellation last year. He's BACK and he is
PRESIDENT. (wow)
I still treasure the pictures I took of Trump at CPAC 2014.
Sadly,
I missed all my favorite parts of CPAC. The many panels, the speakers
in the main room, and the break-out panels as well. It's always a YUGE
three day event.
This year, there was a panel with a favorite of mine, Sheriff Clark.
Another of my faves, Sen. Ted Cruz
VP Mike Pence, Ambassador John Bolton, Steve Bannon spoke and many, many more who can be found at ACU You Tube. I encourage anyone interested to check that channel out.
Much
has been written regarding the diverse factions that make up the
Republican and the Conservative Parties. Inquiring minds wish to know,
are we working together to undo the last 8 years? Found an interesting
article from Kurt Schlichter addressing some of these points.
Congrats
to CPAC for bringing everyone together, with so much to encourage us
post- elections, under one Big Tent. Missing it (sad). Planning next
year already. CPAC 2018. If you've never been, you should check it out.
Barring a plantar gremlin, I'll be there.

Presidents' Day. NYC. Feb. 20, 2017. RENAMED (by the rabid Left) NOT MY PRESIDENT DAY
Location: Start at Columbus Circle. Assemble outside Trump
International Hotel. 61st St & Central Park West. Time: 12pm - 4pm
This was announced as a peaceful demonstration. A rally, not a march (though plenty of Leftards marched up Broadway)
VIDEO
There was a congressional recess on February 20th that aligned with President's Day. SO, "Let's rally while our federal representatives are back in town and remind them who they represent." But, today was NOT just any Presidents Day .
Officially, the holiday is called Washington’s Birthday, to honor the first American president, George Washington. The date was established by Congress with the Monday Holidays Act, which went into effect in 1971.
But, just say "President Trump" and watch the temper tantrums from the Left begin.
That's all they needed to "gather like children", screaming , "Trump is NOT my President." Pathetic.
AMERICA , however, did not remain silent. There were pockets of confident patriots scattered from 60th to 65th st.
Not just 'white' America the Left loves to smear with cries of racism.
People of color. Diversity. THIS is what democracy looks like.
Polite (mostly). FIRM in their convictions that Donald Trump IS our President. YOU LOST. Get over it!"
Heading towards the subway, I felt weary from yet another YUGE temper tantrum. So much snarky ill-will.
Yet, the civilized street debates offered up by those brave patriotic Americans, also left me encouraged.
Kudos to the patriots who had the courage to stand amongst so many smug Fools and Tools and retained their composure. Bravo.
For the Leftards, who suck the life out of everything, while preaching
hatred for all things Republican: a major Razzie award to you all.
Where is MOM when you need her.
"Time out." "Go To your Room." (if only that would work)
Video Playlist: 7 short vids - 4 are the patriot street debates

After
the Rally, the Leftists filled their Face book and Twitter feeds with
the expected self congratulation. BUT so did the Patriots!!
Thank
you to EVERYONE that came out. We made a stand and it was great. The
Spirit of '76 was alive yesterday and we totally messed up the libs day.
So proud of everyone!
By
the way, the next event will be on March 4th - I believe at Trump
Tower. It's called "March 4 Trump" and they will be happening in several
cities. Thanks again.
The LEFT says they're winning. Yet, after reading their "mission statement", methinks hubris may sink their ship (Hoping)
Donald
Trump is literally our President, but figuratively, he has attacked
every value New Yorkers embody and does not represent our interests. We
will be staging a rally at Columbus Circle to protest the un-American
policies of the current White House:
- He plans to cut federal funding to our state in an attempt to turn us
against our immigrant population, funneling money away from important
public institutions.
- He wants to use our tax money to build a wall that no one wants.
- He attacked our Muslim communities and instituted an Islamophobic religious ban.
- He approved a pipeline that threatens to destroy sacred lands.
- His administration opposes a woman's right to choose and purged the
White House website of information pertaining to police brutality and
LGBTQ rights.
- His party doesn't take climate change seriously and undermines our state's efforts to combat it.
Donald Trump stands against the progress we have worked hard to enact.
He does not represent our interests. He was voted in by a minority of
the American public but governs as if there's no resistance. But there
is -- and on February 20th, we will honor previous presidents by
exercising our constitutional right to assemble and peacefully protest
everything Donald Trump stands for.
Feb 14 thru March 5th, 2017 - Duffy Sq (46th and Bdwy)- NYC - Valentines Day. Peace. Love. Never waste a moment to preach to the masses: "We Were Strangers Once, too"(Barack Obama)
Just what I would expect from these public-funded committees that seem to only approve ODD ART projects.
A curiosity - that may never make sense - Of course
de rigueur (a must)
Since I was on my way to "I am a Muslim, too", no
time to ponder, wander nor wade through those poles; to READ and
decipher this IMMIGRANT installation. (Not high on my bucket list)
The installation designed by
The Office for Creative Research beat out several others to be the
winner of this year's Times Square Valentine Heart Design Competition.
The exhibit is about 10 feet high
and features 33 poles inscribed and colored to represent the different
places where some of the foreign-born NYC residents came from. As
visitors move around the sculpture, they get a different perspective.
Once they arrive at the designated spot, a heart is revealed.
Perhaps "We Were Strangers Once, Too" was meant to ask HOW racist TRUMP could HATE Immigrants!
I am Muslim, too has returned proclsiming across Times Square: We Stand With American Muslims!
An I Heart Muslims event organized by the Foundation For Ethnic Understanding — a coalition of religious groups led by record label founder Russell Simmons, Rabbi Marc Schneider (and others)
The crowd was jammed, of course, with all the UWS (upper west side)
and Brooklyn Liberal Jews. Signs advertising their blind obedience with "I am a Jew. Today, I'm a Muslim too' and Muslims, of course, filled out the crowd..
Otherwise- the claim by comic, Dean Obeidallah
(the Muslim MC) that we were surrounded by a SEA of Brown faces
[stretching to 57th st] was GREATLY exaggerated.[See more in Flickr
slideshow]
But, how else would Dean be able to lead with his fake-news punch-line LIE, that Trump's Florida audience had been a sea of angry white faces
filled with HATE. (obviously he didn't see the black trump supporters
in Melbourne, Florida. Sitting proudly behind trump, with signs held
prominently towards the cameras.
BTW- co hosting with Obeidallah was lesbian, Jewish comic, Judy Gold.
Her level of ignorance re Islam and its deathly intolerance for
homosexuals obviously runs DEEP. Nope. the truth is always inconvenient.
SO - onward and upward with I am a MUSLIM, Too -
Part Two. Starting things out was the comic co-hosts who screamed us
into auditory hell, followed by that that great humanitarian, Def jams'
own Russell Simmons.
Simmons gave a speech to be expected, 'We
are here, unified, because of Donald Trump, so we won’t speak too
harshly of him tonight – today. We want to thank him for bringing us
together. Middle America' has been misled. The seeds of hate that were
small, and maybe just ignorance, cannot be watered. That hate cannot
grow'. Anti-Trump, Pro- Muslim. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Susan Sarandon.
The token STAR of the event, gave a DEEP-voiced speech (my god- what
happened to her voice) Pro-forma leftist blather as she railed against
Trump's America destroying the constitution and ending with 'We will fight hatred with love' and OF COURSE, I am a MUSLIM, too.
Rabbis and pastors - imams, a Sikh, a Buddhist, Episcopal,
Presbyterian, Mennonite, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist and Hindu - all
gave short speeches praising Islam.
As did Rabbi Marc Schneier (President Foundation For Ethnic Understanding) who twice in one short speech proclaimed, I am a Muslim, Too , followed by a sequence of Takbirs (Allah is Greater) ... [1;13 in the video]
Ashamed of being Americans in what they claim to be an INTOLERANT America.
Local
politicians and civil rights advocates, too. Parading their ignorance
of Islam's INTOLERANT history towards Judaism and Christianity, even NOW
in the 21st century. No matter what the historically intolerant facts
reveal about Islam, they shouted - each one of them - I AM A MUSLIM,
TOO.
So,
as the pathetic display of naive inclusiveness and good will continued
for the cameras, we heard the required Muslim prayers; allahu akbars and
takbirs from the stage . (even got the extra treat of some prayers at
the side of the stage)
Linda Sarsour, Brooklyn-born Palestinian-American activist, “I am unapologetically Muslim, all day, every day,” she told the cheering crowd. “I
am not afraid because fear is a choice; it is not a fact. So today I
ask you, in the true grit and spirit of a New Yorker, that you choose
courage in the face of fear.”
Sarsour was also touted as one of the proud organizers of the DC Women's march .
Fist bumping and ONE finger umma pumping Sarsour. The symbolism did not go unnoticed.
Sarsour
BTW resurfaced after seeming to be persona non grata at some recent
Muslim pressers down town. But, here she was - front and center -
along with intifada NYC's Debbie Almontaser.
The
media war for the hearts and minds of a naive America, whose desire to
Love Muslims (Islam is off the table), this circus was the darling of
the media for about 4 hours on Sunday, Feb 19.
A circus that will continue to play across the country, dominating the media. Enjoyed. Unchallenged.
As
long as the Hate Trump machine rolls on, these LOVE fests will
continue. Appearing soon at a school, college and artistic venue near
you.
Due
to their pressure, Columbia administration imposed a last-minute
restriction on the event's attendance preventing many Israel supporters
and other interested parties from hearing the ambassador's speech.
Wait listed means .... NO ADMITTANCE !
Let us show the UN ambassador of the only Middle East democracy a warm
welcome. Let us show our support to Students Supporting Israel at
Columbia University - SSI Columbia who organized this event.
Let
us send a message to the Columbia administration that the university's
responsibility is to protect and encourage free speech and civil
discourse instead of restricting it.
And
let us show anti-Israel hate groups that false and bigoted messages
will not prevail. This is a non-partisan pro-Israel, pro free speech
event!.
Flickr slide show:
What
we saw outside (and others inside) was predictable. They did not fail
to agitate. The SJP .... and others.... were there to SHUT DOWN Free
Speech.
[video -the confrontation that went on outside]
Saw
them assemble to march at approx. 6:30 and then- as they began
marching back and forth in front of Lerner Hall- they grew in numbers.
Glutting the sidewalk. Jamming egress for anyone just trying to walk by. And SHOUTING. CHANTING. Hateful. Nasty. Smug. Shrill.
Eventually
the police brought more barricades- to clear the center of the public
sidewalk. But, the noise pollution continued, unabated,
while other kuffeya-clad REGISTERED GUESTS continued to gain entry.
INSIDE- as predicted- was the shut Danon down phase two.
SHOUT and SHOUT and SHOUT so he can't speak. not answer questions.
after all- someone might hear the TRUTH. These fascist thugs can't have
that - EVER
