Dec 16, 2023 - Lower Manhattan- 11 am - 1 pm. Yes it is now 2024. (I got the flu) slowed me down. But, still gonna share the protests, even if a bit late. Happy New Year!
This Drag Story Hour protest wasn't looking like a typical protest. 11 am and there was just a small crowd of leftist enablers gathered in front of Cricket's Candy Creations, a few police and me. Not even any moms and kids.
The actual protest did not take off until about 11:45 when the G.O.D Squad arrived. (While the moms and kids remained AWOL)
The noisy protestors confronted each other but, what mattered was the children. WHERE were the children?
Are the protests making a difference? With the lack of attendance ... maybe so. (Flickr Slide show)
This day there was an oddly casual approach to crowd control by the NYPD: Not very serious yellow caution tape tied to large orange bell cones on the sidewalk was definitely low-key.
Every one was close... many times so close they could touch ... as both sides continued to taunt each other.
And still...no children.
Of course, noise, lots of noise from the leftist enablers: drums. clappers, cowbells. (percussion was the main offender.) Commotion. Lots of commotion.
Maybe the noise scared the children away. And "UNFUCK the World "I'm sure wasn't welcomed by the mothers.

Hefty debates included warnings of the Quran and messages from the leftist enablers, like a red face scarf that said: "Essential and Excluded" along with the ubiquitous rainbow umbrellas.

x Sorry for Cricket's Candy Creations, it seemed like a really nice store for kids and all. But maybe, in the future, they'll think of offering someone less offensive .... perhaps a grandparent, a firefighter or a police officer.

BTW- we were told the store was charging for the Story Hour. If so, maybe that discouraged attendance since the libraries are free.
The kids sure seemed to be a No Show.
Addendum: Highly recommend the "Sound of Silence". Just saw it on Prime Video. With Epstein's list of pedophiles in the news of late, it remains vitally important to SAVE THE CHILDREN.

Another inappropriate Drag Queen Story Hour at 11 AM was protested by the Guardians of Divinity who continue to oppose this misuse of public funds.
Councilman Erik Bottcher and State Sen, Brad Holyman (both gay activists) were on-site, defending these Story Hours as harmless, while accusing the protesters of being "Faces of HATE".
The Antifa aggressors along with the Rise and Resist leftists assembled claim to protecting the children from the" Save The Children" protestors. But, as usual, they are the aggressors, physically assaulting the Guardians.
The Guardians continue to ask, "WHY is a grown man dressed as a woman, reading LGBTQ books c to CHILDREN?"
The high dudgeon exhibited by the leftists begs the question, "Would Christians be allowed to read their books with the same support from the city .... like the Drag Queens?"

Part 2 Around 10:30 am. Rise and resist/ antifa thugs blocked the sidewalks and assaulted a Guardian who had arrived early to protest. The cops were in a van so they saw the assault and stopped the Antifas as soon as it started. ( no arrests) and of course the lefties still hung around like they owned the street.
Part 3 The Rise and Resist Lefties and their Antifa aggressors gathered mostly in front of the library, but always spill across the street; keeping the NYPD busy attempting to keep them under control.Joining them was the bared chested Crackhead Barney(dressed in religious garb as she had come from the early morning PRO Abortion rally) And Councilman Bottcher and State Sen Holyman, continued the lie that the protestors were "Faces of HATE".
Part 4 So many police on the street and NYPD on scooters. The only issues requiring the police were recreated by the Antifas, and were handled quickly by the police. But, Councilman Bottcher must have needed the photo-op, cause the amount of police made no sense. Mayor Adams could use the NYPD presence better to curb the growing street crime around the city. Also, working the police as usual, was reporter Talia, who pressures the police with her demands and works to have any press she doesn't approve of, shut down. Always busy walking back and forth, like a pit boss. AND, of course, Councilman Bottcher can be observed watching and talking to his friendly media about his "Faces of Hate"
.Four short Videos- Part 1 - Drag Queen Story Hour returned to the Andrew Heiskell Library for the Blind. In this clip,the Rise and Resit/ Antifa's blocked the sidewalks and assaulted a Guardian who had arrived early. I saw the assault but camera wasn't on. The Police were sitting in a van at the corner, so as soon as the antifas struck, the cops put an end to the confrontation (though the lefties continued to block the sidewalk)

TTheir signs: "Save The Children" and "Let Kids Be Kids". and ''Stop Confusing the Kids" The Councilman continues to mislabel them as Faces Of Hate when their signs are not filled with hate. It is concern for the children.
Part 4 - Stop Drag Queen Story Hour because it is inappropriate for children. That was why they chanted " Shut It Down" . Though accused of being "Faces of Hate" by the local Councilman, their signs show otherwise. They say it is about concern for the children.
And coming up next is a NYC supported 4 Part MARATHON of Drag Queens reading to children . On Sunday, March 19th- From 11 am to 3 pm. Supported not only by NY's local politicians but even (shamefully) Letitia James, NY Attorney General (taking a break from harassing President Trump)
Eve though Drag queen story hours for kids have been held at public libraries across the city since 2017, the events have recently drawn backlash and violent protests. The outrage in this NY Post article is encouraging:
New York Attorney General Letitia James is set to host a “Drag Story Hour” for children in Manhattan this weekend — and the event is sparking outrage over the use of taxpayer money for the already controversial event.
James and a string of fellow elected Democratic city and state leaders plan to attend Sunday’s event in the West Village where “families with children” are invited to watch drag performers read books over a four-hour stretch.
The AG’s March 19 event is co-sponsored by Drag Story Hour NYC — a nonprofit that has been showered in taxpayers funds, which has enabled them to send drag performers into public schools and libraries to interact with children as young as 3.
“My office is proud to host a Drag Story Hour read-a-thon,” James wrote on Instagram as she promoted the event. “We’re inviting families to join us at the @lgbtcenternyc with @dragstoryhour, drag storytellers, community leaders, and elected officials.”
News of the event sparked immediate backlash on Twitter, with some claiming New Yorkers’ tax dollars were “hard at work grooming kids.”
Why?? Why???? What is the purpose of government funded drag queens for children? To teach tolerance? BS,” Matt Antar, the New York Young Republican Club’s finance chairman, tweeted.
“Drag is a profession, not a “type of person.” A profession where adult men do exaggerated female impersonations often scantily clad with sexual themes… This is not the way.”
Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair also chimed in, tweeting: “The “family-friendly” event will take place at the ‘Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.’ Your tax dollars are hard at work grooming kids!”
Steve Cortes, a former spokesman for President Trump’s campaign, added: “This kind of explicit targeting of children is just evil.”
“Grownups want to dress in drag? More power to them. But what is this fascination with wanting people to bring their kids to your drag show?” TV personality Judge Alex Ferrer tweeted.
August 4, 2022 . Outside and inside - AGAIN - while protesting to SAVE the Babies from this poison. "Save the Babies. save the Children" protestors, as they arrived, took the protest inside. Then - after police removed them- they continued outside the vax hub warning the parents of the dangers within. The messages on the sidewalk were very clear, as were the verbal warnings. But, sadly, there were parents who took their babies inside anyway.

June 26, 2021. NYC. The "Bruce Springsteen On Broadway" concert drew dozens of protestors outside the theatre objecting to proof of vaccination from the audience.
Just say NO to Vaccine Passports! Vaccine Passports are authoritarian, illiberal and wrong.
"Protesters held signs including "no vax passports" and "Bruce Springsteen is for segregation on Broadway." The small group also shouted slogans such as "stop segregation" as attendees arrived for the show." [Newsweek]

Part 1 video: As the protestors approached the theatre, they chanted "Vaccine Mandates Got To Go!" they squared off across 44th st, challenging the concert-goers in front of the St James.
"Those of us who have healthy immune systems should be able to enjoy these freedoms just like anybody else!"

Considering there was a glut of media outside, there were just a few published reports of the protest; not what I expected.
Just google "no vaccine passport protest Springsteen" to find links to articles, but most simply linked to Newsweek, making no mention of the counter- protest til I found "app.com".

Unfortunately,the NY POST photo, taken outside the theatre, was labeled as only "FANS"? No mention of the protestors.
The next picture shows more closely the protestors vs the audience stand-off. Plus, this was a loud No Vaccine Passports protest, so reporting them as only "Fans" seemed an odd omission.
Part 2 video The exchanges were personal regarding the vaccine passport segregation, the discrimination, as they chanted, "My Body, My Choice". The signs they carried, many were people who took the vaccine to "protect their grandmas" and ended up dying. "They believed in that vaccine and now they're not here."
Part 3 video. A war of words as 'instigators' from the audience-side confronted the protestors by spilling into and blocking the street. "Shame on you" was now the protestor chant as the police sent everyone back to their own sides with another protestor chant, "Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho, Vaccine Mandate's Got to Go."
Part 4 video. The protestors continued challenging the people waiting to enter the St James theatre who were apparently regarding the photo posters they held. These "... people who actually died from the vaccine ... if you are laughing at them, then you've got to be really sick in the head. And I'd be ashamed to be standing next to you ..." THEN, a guy RAN passed us towards 8th avenue and the crowd went after him shouting "shame on you". (Never found out why) But, the result was the protest was now closer to 8th avenue (in front of the Majestic Theatre) Two women were busy with "Try the Magnetic Challenge". Offering Free Jewelry to anyone who was magnetic (from the vaccine).
The black woman at the end of the video, unfortunately her accent was difficult to understand, but she was obviously upset. "You can't enter a Broadway show ... unless you're vaccinated. And you guys think that's okay? What country is this? I wanta know... is this Communist China? This is United States of America .... and now freedom is being taken away from America..."

There was a congressional recess on February 20th that aligned with President's Day. SO, "Let's rally while our federal representatives are back in town and remind them who they represent." But, today was NOT just any Presidents Day .
Officially, the holiday is called Washington’s Birthday, to honor the first American president, George Washington. The date was established by Congress with the Monday Holidays Act, which went into effect in 1971.
But, just say "President Trump" and watch the temper tantrums from the Left begin.
That's all they needed to "gather like children", screaming , "Trump is NOT my President." Pathetic.

Yet, the civilized street debates offered up by those brave patriotic Americans, also left me encouraged.
Kudos to the patriots who had the courage to stand amongst so many smug Fools and Tools and retained their composure. Bravo.

Trump is literally our President, but figuratively, he has attacked
every value New Yorkers embody and does not represent our interests. We
will be staging a rally at Columbus Circle to protest the un-American
policies of the current White House:
- He plans to cut federal funding to our state in an attempt to turn us
against our immigrant population, funneling money away from important
public institutions.
- He wants to use our tax money to build a wall that no one wants.
- He attacked our Muslim communities and instituted an Islamophobic religious ban.
- He approved a pipeline that threatens to destroy sacred lands.
- His administration opposes a woman's right to choose and purged the
White House website of information pertaining to police brutality and
LGBTQ rights.
- His party doesn't take climate change seriously and undermines our state's efforts to combat it.
Donald Trump stands against the progress we have worked hard to enact.
He does not represent our interests. He was voted in by a minority of
the American public but governs as if there's no resistance. But there
is -- and on February 20th, we will honor previous presidents by
exercising our constitutional right to assemble and peacefully protest
everything Donald Trump stands for.
