November 11, 2010, New York City, and the 91st Annual Veterans Day Parade.
Love this Parade and seeing so many Veterans march with their families made it all even more wonderful. It was fabulous!
I understand this is the largest Veterans Day Parade and that his year there were more than 20,000 participants in the parade with over 3,000 Active Duty. Amazing!
Viet Nam Vets, WW2 Vets, Korean Conflict, Afganistan and Iraq. Too many Veterans Groups to list, but we have loads of pictures and lots of video. (scroll down for videos)
Jimmy McMillan of "The Rent is Too Damn High" Party marched with his fellow Veterans, the Black Lions...
And there was the amazing Buzz Aldrin (and his wife):
The Parade started at about 11 AM. We caught the parade from 1 PM to about 3:15 PM and was still going strong when we left....
The Parade Theme this year was "Freedom Isn't Free"and the air was filled with "Thank you for your service" applause for all of our Vets (and their families ) as they passed-by the Reviewing Stand.
Well-deserved Thanks for all who have served and sacrificed to Keep America Safe and Strong.
The Salute to our Fallen and their Families, was a very moving and emotional moment in the Parade.
There seemed to be a bit of uncertainty when the Chinese walked by...American Vets...?Chinese Vets...? The Reviewing Stand seemed unsure who they were thanking...
Near the end of Part 1, our Vets from the Iraq/Afganistan campaigns, marched-by . There were so many who marched by! Young, enthusiastic and proud to be an American.

Slide Show of many more pictures:
There were unfortunately, Anti-America Seditionists (and "Death Car") marching in the parade. They should have marched in their own parade. See Post here>>
