Urban Madness...and some new juicy nuts...

On a very cold day in Manhattan...a group of kids called "Urban madness" become human chess pieces waiting for "Death". Then while looking for a place to set up their board,Apple has an attack of NIMBY and ... what would Central Park be without...an homage to CHE

BTW- VSB wishes to thank Abe Greewald at Commentary Mag for making us aware of the CHE display in Central Park (that's planned through May 9) His article is here>>

A friend of the Brigade observed: "I'd be tempted to wrap some det cord around the whole damn thing and let them pick up the pieces." NOT that there's anything wrong with statues encouraging hero-worship of murderers: America! What a Country!

And Jack Kemp at American Thinker adds:
(The three statues on display... Julius Ceasar, the "Anthropomorphic cabinet woman" (from a Dali painting) and Che Guevera were all inspired by Barcelona street performers. It also says the art display was made possible by the Public Art Fund, the City of New York, the NEA, and the New York Council for the Arts.)

And from Thomas Lifson: "Complaints about the Guevara statue at the Doris Freedman Plaza -- which, incidentally, is at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 60th Street -- right across from the Grand Army Plaza and the Plaza Hotel -- can be made at: New York City Department of Parks & Recreation

DORIS C. FREEDMAN PLAZA THIS PLAZA IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY AND VISION OF DORIS CHANIN FREEDMAN (1928-1981). AS DIRECTOR OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS ...

Lifson also said :"
...akin to honoring Adolf Eichman. An outrage!"

Adalah-NY holds anti-Israel event at Marriott-Marquis

Adalah's are preaching their lies to themselves and as usual the cops look ridiculous bending to Adalah's every demand. Meanwhile, nobody passing by really cares...and neither does the press which is quite obviously absent!

Part 2...adalahs and a loud megaphone still doesn't draw a crowd.

Veterans Day parade at the Intrepid marches thru Times Square

Part One we wait for the parade to begin. The President's speech must have started late. Patriots wait as well as some anti-war nuts...then back to the veterans.

Part2: the Parade as it passed by McD's on 42nd St and 7th Ave.

Patriots are forced into the background by police while anti-war protestors are escorted wherever they wish at reopening of Intrepid.

Saturday, November 8, 2008. American Patriots had gone to the Intrepid to show support for our military but were forced into background, forced by our own city police to stand far away from the Intrepid. The police instead gave preferential treatment to the anti-war protesters. They escorted them wherever they wished. Placed them on the corner of 46th and 12th to ‘greet’ the public as they came and went from the Intrepid, making a mockery of free-speech by denying the same peaceful assembly rights to the Patriots. The Patriots were there to show the public how proud Americans support our Military and to show respect for the Intrepid. The anti-war protesters were there to show no respect to the military nor to the Intrepid. The video reveals the friendliness the police exhibited for two hours during this planned anti-war demonstration. Chums. Not to imply the police should be rude to anyone exercising their free-speech rights, BUT some of the police were rude and others simply impatient with the Patriots. (Chummy and patient with the anti-war protesters.) So what gives? The Brigade is concerned, post election, that this treatment of law-abiding citizens will continue unabated. Can we say “fairness” doctrine?
