The Turkish massacre of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians was genocide. 

The Armenian Genocide began in 1914-15 (what a way to start the 20th century)

Genocide:a term coined by Polish writer and attorney, Raphael Lemkin, in 1941.

As defined by the UN in 1948, GENOCIDE means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, including:

(a) killing members of the group
(b) causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group
(c) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part
(d) imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
(e) forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

A tragic centennial. 100 years. 1915  (lasting til 1923)
2015- I saw this ad below in Times Square, just a few days before The Armenian Holocaust Remembrance Day (hat tip from Urban Infidel)

The ad proclaims: TURKEY: Partner in Peace."
(Notice the 'c' in 'peace') It's  a large red Islamic crescent and star.

In the background of this ad is The Blue Mosque (surrounded by minarets).
1616 A.D., it was built on the site of the Byzantine emperors' palace & facing the beautiful Byzantine CHURCH, the Hagia Sophia.

Islam and the desecration of the Hagia Sophia. In 1453, after invading Constantinople, the Muslim Sultan, Mehmet ll, entered the Cathedral (the Hagia Sophia) and insisted it be transformed to a mosque at once. One of the Ulama climbed the pulpit and recited the Shahada.

An evil deed: done. The Hagia Sophia. VIOLATED.

Today, a beautiful Cathedral remains surrounded by those VILE minarets, forced to be a mosque/museum. Never again allowed to be a CHURCH.

April 24, 2015 - The Armenian Remembrance Day crowds gathered  in Times Square and they were HUGE.
 
Packed shoulder to shoulder from 44th street to 42nd st.
(Walking through the crowd was nearly impossible)
It was also, the seventh year in a row that President Barack Obama has broken his promise to use the word "genocide" to describe the atrocity. 
WHO still REFUSES to call the mass killings a genocide? The Turkish government, the United States and President Obama .
 
Also, the European Commission, the United Kingdom AND (of course) the United Nations.
They ALL still refuse to acknowledge this first genocide of the the 20th century.

Yet, New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has signed a proclamation declaring April 24, 2015 the Armenian Remembrance Day; a day to honor the victims of the
 Armenian Genocide.


The document reads.“We honor the memories of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and pay tribute to the survivors, especially those who have established roots in New York, where new generation of Armenian Americans continues to thrive"

Anti-BDS Protest @ UJA Headquarters &100+ Shofars (5-11-15) Vids /Pics

Anti-BDS Protest At UJA Headquarters - Oh, What A Night!

Richard Allen, founder and head of JCC Watch, was the MC.

A protest took place in the late afternoon/early evening of May 11, 2015 outside the UJA headquarters in Manhattan. Members of the pro-Israel community were out en force energetically protesting Lisa Doctoroff (President of the UJA), BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) and the NIF (New Israel Fund).

Shame on the UJA for funding these groups that work to disenfranchise Jews from their homeland in Yehuda and Shomron, and indeed, throughout Israel!

Shame on the UJA for funding the New Israel Fund, thereby enabling these BDS, anti-Israel groups to march in this year's Israel parade.
The following is a synopsis  of the protest from AFSI: 

"An energized group of more than 100 people protested outside the UJA, blowing shofars (real and toy) to wake up the UJA leadership to the dangers they are perpetrating on the Jewish people.


Richard Allen explained that Alisa Doctoroff, President of UJA-Federation, is guilty of supporting the New Israel Fund (NIF) with millions of dollars which are then given to NGO's that work to destroy Israel.
Incredibly, some of these groups are marching in the Celebrate Israel Parade when their purpose is NOT to celebrate Israel, but to denigrate it.

He then introduced Rabbi Allen Schwartz, Rabbi of Ohab Zedek on Manhattan's Upper West Side, who spoke about all the remarkable contributions Israel makes to the world, but regardless, is still castigated and ostracized by much of the world.

And Lauri Regan spoke for EMET (Endowment for Middle East Truth), outlining the injustices of the BDS system and the great harm it does both inside and outside Israel.
Helen Freedman, Executive Director of AFSI spoke next.

She began by asking, "Does Israel have the right to exist?" The crowd roared back with a resounding YES. She then asked, "Do you want your tzedakah supporting those who de-legitimize Israel?" The crowd responded with a strong NO. She then stated, "Our purpose here today is to announce that we are closing our wallets to UJA - while it supports the demonizers of Israel."

Helen mentioned how Europe is consumed with BDS, and how the Netherlands cut the pension of a 90 year old Holocaust survivor for the "crime" of moving to Israel and living over the green line.
Helen then listed some of the groups funded by the NIF, including Adalah, B'Tselem, Breaking the Silence, Machshom Watch, Mossawa, Partners for Progressive Israel and Physicians for Human Rights. She held up the photo of an IDF soldier cradling a Nepalese child.

 The caption read, "0.1% of the world is Israeli. 30% of the international medical team in Nepal is from Israel. Will the UN and BDS groups condemn Israel's "disproportionate response."?






Helen continued, naming Alisa Doctoroff, Michael Miller, Eric Goldstein and Jerry Levin, all officers or former officers in UJA and JCRC, as being responsible for allowing the delegitimizers to have standing. The crowd booed their disapproval.

Helen concluded, "Rejecting Israel's legitimacy by accusing Israel of war crimes, and violations of humanitarian law, which would justify international intervention, like the International Criminal Court, is criminal.

All the condemnations are built on lies and fabrications. They must not be allowed to pass for truth. That is why we are here today and why we must continue to raise our voices against those whose greed and willful blindness lead Israel and America into a dangerous downward spiral. We won't let it happen. "

Other speakers followed, including Rabbi Algaze, Paul Brody, Mort Klein, Robin Ticker and Charlie Bernhaut.

May Day Commies vs NY-ICE (Union Square) 2015

"The Union Square area is “Commie Central” in New York City. It is the home of Workers World Party. WWP organizes all of the big demonstrations there. WWP defended the Tienanmen Square massacre.

They supported Saddam Hussein, Kim Jung-Il and his father.... a hodgepodge of professional political grievance organizations like the SEIU, the Communist Party, art school students and people reminding us not to forget girls, women and trans-people..."

This is Commie Day 2015. 
A Day that should Live in Infamy

A day that seeks the recruitment of "tools and fools "
 A celebration of the most dangerous "isms" that threaten the free world: Socialism, Fascism, Communism and their fellow travelers and Islamism (which seemed less prevalent  this year).

Where they gather annually to celebrate the Tyranny of Despots.
Perhaps we might be able to push back more effectively against their lies and agitprop... if we were not so dumbed-down as a country.

If ONLY the William Ayers, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky and Saul Alinsky's  hadn't succeeded in taking over our schools, our text books and our media....
But, they have.

One positive this year: their numbers were down (a lot)
Another positive: Members of NYICE who came out to challenge those who support Illegal Trespassing.

Every year NY-ICE confronts the lies and propaganda that the media and the public are force-fed by the soc/commie/progs regarding our Immigration Laws.
The COMMIES and their venomous responses rarely include any intelligent defense for ignoring and breaking our Immigration Laws.
Joanna Marzullo, President of NY-ICE, talks about the dearth of intelligent discourse. The Soc/Commie/Progs chose instead to lob not only copious FU's but globs of spittle as well.



Of course, across from NY-ICE, were banners that supported  illegals.

Banners that just HAD to be addressed.
Silence was NOT an option.

But, this year the other messages seemed to focus more on freedom for convicted murderers (rather than Workers Rights)

Encouraging violent incendiary racism

Anti-Israel Kuffeyas promoted hatred as well (is this a typo "Scumer" ? or an inside slam that's meant to spell SCUMMer)

Kuffeyas that were worn along side other lawless banners and signs. In this case it was an Illegals contingent (lead by the video spit-queen)


And way too much of the dangerously rabid police hatred.

 NYPD Officer Brian Jones was murdered the next day.
"The dangers of de-policing our cities as Radical Movements Form to Disarm and Disband New York City Police" ...  [claiming that the ] NYPD = KKK .

BTW- The start of Police Week is on May 10, 2015 and NYC Police Commissioner Bratton bluntly acknowledged that the country is in a time of crisis. (like we didn't know!)

“Let’s face it, we’re in a crisis at this time, in this country, on issues of race, around effectiveness of policing, around police tactics, probably the most significant I’ve seen since I joined policing in 1970."

"The focus on trying to find racism in every word uttered is simply a smoke screen to divert from the real problem(s) facing our country. " (another writer also said) "at 70, I have never seen this country so racially divided and it's getting worse."

Victims of Communism Day aka May Day should increase awareness of the dangers of far left forms of totalitarianism, and extreme government control of the economy and civil society. Our relative neglect (ignorance) of communist crimes carries a real cost.
Ultimately each message promotes the destruction of our towns and cities leading them towards the chaos of anarchy. Ignoring the Rule Of Law.
One sign. One banner. One text book. One video. One movie at a time. The fruits of their labors were on display in Union Square.

Glenn Beck remarked on May 2, 2015 about these like-minded cop-hating/Commie-loving anarchists: 

The democratic socialists that have run [our] cit[ies] for decades are...at fault in a big way... listen to those radicals who led occupy Wall Street, read what Isis is currently tweeting, look at what Iran is saying or Russia, listen to Francis Fox Piven, Al Sharpton, the Black Panthers, the Nation of Islam or any of the Leftists who have been planting these seeds for a very long time. We must be as wise serpents and gentle as doves. The times call for us to be better than we ever thought we could be. If the police force is this bad and racist, who didn't do their job to clean it up a long time ago?
