NYC- Sept 25, 2021. As the U.N. General Assembly met in New York City, a Global Solidarity Action called RISE FOR AND WITH THE WOMEN OF AFGHANISTAN gathered within sight and sound of the United Nations.
"We cannot underestimate the power of our solidarity. Bearing witness to the violence and fear the Taliban is unleashing on Afghanistan will send a powerful message to the Afghan people – and women specifically – that they are not alone.''
" Just as importantly, it will remind the Taliban that we see what they are doing and will not back down until all Afghan people live with the full human rights they deserve."
Testimonies from Afghan women on the ground and RAWA (Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan) will be read.

Factoid: Re the woman now called "V" : Since the 'V' in V-Day stands for Victory, Valentine and Vagina, she chose this as her new name, no longer wishing to use the surname of the father who abused her.
But, why no mention of the criminal actions of Biden and Company that caused this crisis. Biden restored the Taliban to power, causing the death and torture of the people of Afghanistan - not just the women. Their whole country was handed over to the tyranny of the Taliban.
Biden lied, they died. That’s no longer just an accusation. It’s now a fact, with Tuesday’s Senate testimony shredding President Biden’s nonsensical fictions about Afghanistan and confirming that he alone made the fateful decisions that created the chaotic and deadly withdrawal.

No surprise, since they PRAISE the murderous Winnie Mandela as a woman to be admired. However, since she has been exposed as “Mugger of the Nation” this is a stunning delusion (as is their belief that the Taliban will listen to their demands .... and change their ways).
Keeping with their delusional mindset, Ensler said today she is "Rising to Cut the Pentagon Budget;stop... (to stop) war and destruction until we create a feminist world foreign policy which really is reflecting human security and care and connection."
Tell the U.S. Congress and the White House to STOP funding the Department of Defense and use those funds to create change and better lives for its people.
Put the funds into education, housing, transportation, environmental needs, end mass incarceration.
Time for a Reality Check, ignoring their touchy-feely gobbledy-gook: "President Biden’s policy pronouncements may look great on bumper stickers, but they have fewer calories than Coke Zero."

Concluding with this statement from "Rise For Revolution": "Women of the world and our allies stand with the women – and all vulnerable groups – of Afghanistan against imperialism, militarism, fundamentalism, and fascism. None of us are free until the women of Afghanistan are free. We believe the women of Afghanistan have the right to education, to travel, to freedom of movement, to jobs, to security, just having freedom to be able to breathe and be. We cannot underestimate the power of our solidarity at this moment."
