Update:After the march to the Israeli Consulate, these supporters of Israel countered and interacted admirably with some of those who opposed Israel's existence.
Part 3- When these Jewish girls arrived at the Israeli Consulate, they were told they had to stand on the South/West corner of 42nd st and 2nd Ave (putting some distance between them and the anti-Israel faction)
But, the anarchists can't stand the slight of the Israeli flag! So their young men and young women came out to "engage" these stalwart defenders of Israel .
Their interviewers came over with cameras and recorders:

...just to lecture the Jewish girls about Mengele and Hiroshima....
But she couldn't respond when pressed to discuss the anti-Israel lies presented by these children. (Seems she has no problem with these LIES)
The police seemed hesitant when it came to herding the anarchists back to their pen. These girls were waiting (a long time) for their bus...So, of course, they managed to harass the girls with chants of "Free Free Palestine" etc....
It was always a slow "would-you-please' go back. Not what our side is used to. (We're told to move and we hop.)
But what matters more is that these young women were great!
They quietly sang while they held their flags up with confidence.

Part 2 “…the First Anniversary of the Israeli-U.S. Massacre, the People of Gaza Need Your Solidarity” was December 27, 2009 (at 1 PM)
The International Action Center kicked-off another of their hate-Israel and anti-American protests in Times Square and then marched to the Israeli Consulate (which they choose to call the Israeli "Mission").
The Leftists marched from Times Square to the Israeli Consulate via 6th avenue (not 42nd st as they have done in the past)
And then East on 48th street (passing Rockefeller Center)
They wrote in their flyers how they would “march through the crowded holiday streets to the Israeli “mission”.”
And also, “We will say the blockade must end, the flow of U.S. arms and dollars to Israel must stop and Israeli generals and politicians must be prosecuted for war crimes.
Always an education to watch how the police baby-sit them (well co-ordinated...the police do a stand-up job of crowd and traffic-control)
Our tax dollars at work, protecting the First Amendment rights of anarchists, who hate America ! And who never fail to to manipulate the situation so they can 'break the rules' laid out by the police...
They also like to walk very,VERY slowly... and SLOWLY respond to the police when told to pick up their pace....
They take the protest on to the sidewalk (not staying in the street as required) because they intend to engage the public walking by....

Nothing new. No new faces even , although it was interesting to observe Obama and Company take the heat (BDS has turned in to ODS)

There were stalwart supporters of Israel at Times Square and also at the Israeli Consulate. (apparently this was a fast day which was why so many others weren't able to join the counter-rally.)
The whole group then marched from Times Square to the Israeli Consulate via 6th avenue and then East on 48th street(passing Radio City Music Hall) Part of their plan, apparently, was to assault as many tourists as they could by turning off 42nd street (which was a more direct path to the consulate). They wrote how they would "march through the crowded holiday streets to the Israeli "mission"." (Have no idea if this item happened: "George Galloway is expected to address the Times Square rally by telephone.")
More rallies will take place in Chicago where the US Palestine Community Network, the Palestine Solidarity Group, Code Pink and others are organizing a Chicago Stands with Gaza rally on Monday, Dec. 30 at 5:30 pm at Grace Place, 637 S. Dearborn Avenue. Get out and counter them if you are in the area!!
This statement is from the American Copts at http://freecopts.net/english/who organized simultaneous rallies in several States to "express their resentment and rejection to what is taking place to their brethren in Egypt, including killings, destruction and looting of their property, displacement from their homes and the forced Islamization of their minor daughters."
One of the organizers spoke to me about how the Islamist bring hundreds of their young Muslim males to our colleges with the intention of having them romance and marry American women. Hello? America! We need to pay attention to these valiant people, the Copts. We can no longer remain ignorant of the horrors Islam and Egypt have inflicted upon the Coptic Christians;this is Europe today and America tomorrow (if we let it happen).
Their statement continues with, "Copts expressed their rejection of the collusion of the Egyptian State Security and other security authorities in all crimes taking place against the Copts in Egypt."
Their plan was to start at the Egyptian Mission to the United Nations at 304 East 44th Street in N Y and to then march towards the United Nations, ending at 4.00 pm. The reverse happened for some reason. First the police placed the Copts at a location behind construction at the UN. Why?
It was an odd location...not the usual location for these rallies. I arrived about 1:45 looking for a rally that was supposed to last from Noon to 4 PM . However, the rally was now marching to the Egyptian Mission (leaving the obstructed location at the UN) and because the police shut them down early,at 2 PM, I never got video of their robust and heart-felt chants of "Free Christian Egypt. Free Christian Egypt" .
The police said the sound permit at the mission stopped at 2 PM and even though the Copts had a permit til 4 at the UN they would not be permitted to return to that less than desirable location. WHY?
That's NOT how things go down for the Leftists. The Leftists march wherever and whenever they want. They demand freedom of assembly rights but NO such freedoms were extended to the Copts.
The Copts need our help (where were the other groups that knew about this rally. It's shameful they did not give support to the Copts) And the police hid them and shut them down early. It's an OUTRAGE!
