Eric Holder, our Attorney General, went to Long Island on Sunday, December 13, to speak at what was called a public meeting being held at the Memorial Presbyterian Church located at 189 Babylon Turnpike, Roosevelt, NY. It was actually a church service and Holder didn't speak until the end.
Introduced by his brother, William, (who is a member of this church)
and with his 84 years old mother, Miriam, in attendance,
this was a morning dedicated to the youth of this congregation. That's fine, it is the Christmas Advent Season, after all. So, inside the church politics was not on the menu, but outside there were about 40 -50 citizens who demanded that Holder stop the outrage of Terror Trials in New York City.
The security that accompaniedHolder denied this photographer and others as well the right to stand on a public sidewalk to take photographs.
They boldly stated they were taking away our First Amendments rights for the day and threatened to take cameras and make arrests if we did not cease taking pictures of the protesters.....
Hmmm....Guess that's Eric Holder's America for ya.... The future? Considering this church community is committed to their youth, to the future ...it was disturbing to witness such faithful, "no-questions-asked" admiration for Holder based on race...not on deeds.
Since we couldn't operate the cameras easily inside the church, this is as close as we could get: a short video of pictures with music!
On Saturday, December 12, 2009 (from 12 Noon to 3 PM) at Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan ( across from the September 11th Memorial) another rally was held to protest Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to give Constitutional rights and a civilian trial on American soil to Khalid Sheik Muhammed (mastermind of the 9/11 attacks) and other terrorists.
This attempt by Congress and the President to subvert our libertymust be stopped!
Not only are theytrying to give our rights to terrorists but they're trying to takeour own liberties away with, too, their illegal Health Care Reform..
This is the site of the group that organized the rally:
Scroll to bottom for two Slide Shows and two Videos (second one is of the Truther who jumped the stage)
The weather was cold and wet, getting ready for New York's first snow of the season that arrived late that afternoon, but the crowd was determined to send the message back to Washington:
Do NOT give Constitutional rights guaranteed to Americans to terrorists.
This Terror Trial is an OUTRAGE and this rally was just the beginning of a populist uprising against government determined to destroy our Constitution.
There will be more rallies.
America will NO longer be Silent! The speakers were from 911 Families (those whose loved ones were murdered on 911) and the First Responders.
More pictures will follow in a second post and a second short video....
Slide Show is below:
This short video is excerpts with crowd shots, Debra Burlingame,Brian Dennehy reading a letter from Judea Pearl, a small taste of Curtis Sliwa and Daniel Rodriguez (the singing cop).

911 Never Forget US Rally and the Truther (video)
Only in New York City, in a freezing rain can a 911Truther manage to climb barricades and the stage, with his coffee in hand, and not spill a drop. it all unfolded so calmly and everyone ignored him (as they should) while security deftly and quietly removed him from the stage. This is NY, after all. (on CNN you blink and he's gone) But, still I couldn't believe I had stood there watching it all unfold with a waterlogged camera and frozen hands.... Then, we "recovered" as a bunch of us followed this guy back to the coffee shop . He seemed to think he was going back IN the coffee shop but the cops had other ideas (like arresting him) So while waiting for the police van and as the cops pressed him against the shop window a few of us snapped away with our cameras. it was fun to see everyone laughing...surreal ....goofy with his gas mask and his pleas of "Call my mother, call my mother" Then he was gone and we went back to "NO to Terror Trials in NYC."
Update: Seems the 9-11 truther has a name: Nico Haupt. It's fun to watch the truthers cannibalize their own. (a conspiracy under every bush) You can also google this guy here
Thanks to JimBan,Tatyana and Candicefor filling out the story with a few pictures I had missed ….and to Urban Infidel for finding Candice (who was having so much fun inside the shop)
ThePeoplesCube also has a great report and pictures of signs, signs signs!
911neverforget.us will eventually have the complete video posted
Then Wafa moved on to her luncheon debate with Daniel Pipes on the hypothesis of "moderate" Muslims. There will be more on that event as the information comes in ....
We compiled a few pictures of the Times Square makeover that were taken over the past few months. It was as an excuse to work with the AVS video program...In particular we re-discovered some pictures of the transition from beach chairs to the metal chairs (an opportunity for Bloomy to 'dazzle' the public with a beach chair sculpture?) The chairs even have their own t-shirt . Whatever... it's still an offensive makeover.
Two groups are meeting below Foley Square and will be marching to Foley Square:
Staten Island Tea Party will meet-upat the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in time for the 10AM departure. After we disembark we will march up Whitehall Street to Broadway,Broadway to Worth Street and the turn east into Foley Square. The distance is about 1.3 miles and should take us around 45 minutes or less.
The SITP started the idea of marching up Broadway to the event, and it has caught on. We now expect to be joined by other groups from the NY area (including other Tea Party groups and various NYPD and FDNY organization) at different points along the route. Also, received a phone call from Glenn Beck's producer this morning asking for the details of the march and expect FoxNews coverage.
We will pass City Hall Park on Broadway. Rain is expected in the afternoon; an umbrella is probably going to be necessary.
Final quote: Louis L'Amour: "There's no stopping a man who knows he's in the right and keeps on coming..."
