A stroll through midtown Manhattan on a June day...On a June night...
In the rain....
Dress it with pretty balloons, bang the drums loudly.
Offer them Hope? Love? Perchance to dream...
What's "old is new". What's new is .... Change?
Wake up. Wake up. Wake...up...!

Another day, another rally in Times Square...
Just another day in Times Square....
Their site says: YOUNG TURKS GOALS.
* To proceed on the path of progressions set forth by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
* A vision to promote a Secular, Modern and Free Turkish Ideal.
* To protect Turkish Territorial Integrity through all means.
* To defend basic Human Rights.
* To confront all forms of societal degression.
* To educate all institutions on the importance of Ataturk and his vision for the world.
* To promote "Peace at home, Peace abroad" to nations and individuals that use force, racism, war propaganda and genocide to counter problems that should be dealt with by civil means.
* To promote the Turkish Language and Culture to reaches back 17,000 years.
* To promote and engage in friendship and understanding, between Turkish and American societies.
* To help lay the foundations for the First Turkish University in the U.S. named Ataturk University.
But, they claim there was no Armenian Genocide...
Very confusing... Have to do some more reading on this one....

Celebrate Israel Parade 2009 etc...
2009 Supporters of Israel came out in force for the annual Salute to Israel parade up Fifth Avenue. This year's parade celebrated the birth of the Jewish state in 1948 and also the 100th birthday of the city of Tel Aviv. Am Yisrael Chai!!
The excitement and beauty ...the joy was everywhere.

Click thumbnail for complete album of the parade:

by redsquirrel08
Some pictures before the parade reveals the usual anti-Israel Leftist's the vile Revolution Muslims and the unfortunate Neturei Karta ...

by redsquirrel08
BTW- The Brigade passed through Times Square (Bloomberg's Folly) and saw the glut of tourists that now CLOG midtown

sitting on those ubiquitous lawn chairs and considered...is this a possible explanation for the QUIET, rather pedestrian-free Fifth Avenue we had noticed as we left the parade in the 50's. Fifth Avenue in the 40's was like a ghost-town. Gee.... Thanks fer nothin', Mr. Mayor.

Looking For Those Club Gitmo Lefties
World Can't Wait, Code Pinkos...you name 'em ...they were there. Grand Central to the Union League Club. Caterwalling about Bushes War and Club Gitmo. Marching to The Union League to continue the palintive cries of "Shame of you-o-o-o-o" in 'honor' of a dinner honoring General Petraeus.
This is in four parts as the Leftards love to preach and preach and PREACH their usual lies and propaganda....
Part 1
Orange people...looking for Orange people in Grand Central Station...at Rush Hour...Part 1 is the arrival .Parts 2 and 3 'fireworks"as some of the rush hour public is just a tad annoyed with these Leftards. Then Part 4 as the 'detainees' march to the Union League Club.
Part 2
Those orange people do go and on...caught in a time warp, they just aren't happy unless they can be very VERY UN-happy...but the crowd gets bored and some get fed-up and dare tp talk-back...so it seems more like 'playtime' for some leftards...?
Part 3
The long-winded and dead-headed Lefties prattle on....pouring the kool-aid for those dumb enough to drink it...Is there any country they do like?!
Part 4 (It may still be processing)
Ladies and Gentleman the LEFTARDS have left the building. As they marched over to the Union League Club (carrying their waterboards) and where they met up with Patriots who were there to greet General Petraeus. God Bless America!
And a few pictures as well (click the thumbnail)

by redsquirrel08
But just a few as we were busy with the video of these Club Gitmo retards...

Calling All terrorists ! Club Gitmo welcomes you-o-o-o-o

The water? She is the on-the-house!

Memorial Day 2009 in the Herald Square NoGo Zone
The Mayor turned Times Square and Herald Square into NoGo Zones. But at Herald Square many cyclists were sailing through these pedestrian zones...accidents waiting to happen on unsuspecting walkers. Then we headed back to Times Square(see previous posts)

The bikes are gonna be history around here? Weird...losing the fence that we can see...

Enough of this Non-Event, they didn't even get any chairs in Herald Sqaure...so we headed back to Times Square

The rest of the pictures of the Herald Square NoGo Zone are here>>

Memorial Day 2009 in the Times Square "NoGo" Zones

More than once it was easy to lose track of where you were; buses and bikes suddenly have the right of way and you think you're in a safe-zone: NOT good.
Next post will be on the Herald Square "NoGo" Zone. There we fear the bikes are gonna hit some one hard as the bikes went sailing through in both directions in what was supposed to be pedestrian-friendly: NOT!
And...the natives are so NOT HAPPY, Mr. Mayor. Even the NY Slimes ( (you can skip the ad when you open the link) had to report the grumblings in"Lose The Traffic..." here>
(scroll down for a short video)

We did capture a little bit of the festivities on video:
The Brigade checked out the Times Square area at about 8 PM on the 26th---after the first full work day back...to see if the lawn-chairs were still out. They were! (Weird) Click the thumbnail to see the evening pictures
